A speaker in a blue suit addresses the 2026 Annual Pensions Conference from a wooden podium with press microphones, in front of a blue banner carrying the Pensions and Insurance Authority logo.

The Public Service Pensions Fund (PSPF) participated in the 2026 Annual Pensions Conference, joining pension industry stakeholders to explore how innovation, effective governance and policy reform could strengthen retirement income security.

Ministry of Labour and Social Security Permanent Secretary Mr. Zechariah Luhanga officiated at the conference with a call on the participants to come up with solutions that expand coverage, strengthen governance, improve benefit adequacy, protect members’ savings, embrace responsible innovation and position Pension Funds to contribute more meaningfully to national development.

For PSPF, the conference was more than an industry gathering. It was an opportunity to learn, share experiences and identify new ways of delivering greater value to the people we serve, our members, pensioners and beneficiaries.

The two-day conference, took place from 22nd to 23rd October 2026 at the Mulungushi International Conference Center, under the theme “Building Sustainable Pensions: Innovation, Governance, and Policy Reform.” It brought together pension administrators, regulators, investment professionals and other stakeholders to examine challenges and opportunities shaping the future of pensions.
