The Public Pensions Fund app
The Fund's mobile app and USSD service let members check their records, request statements, start a loan application and raise a complaint without visiting an office. The app is available for Android and iOS, and the USSD service works on any phone by dialling *3434#.
Using the mobile app
Registration
To pre register, choose Preregister, enter your National Registration Card number, your date of birth and the phone number you want to register with, then press Pre register.
To register, open the app, choose Register, and enter your National Registration Card number, the mobile number used for your Fund registration and your email address, then create a PIN.
If you are a contributing member
From the contributing member menu you can retrieve your Social Security Number, view a contribution statement using your Social Security Number and PIN, read the loan requirements, view a loan statement, start a loan application, and raise a complaint. When you submit a complaint you receive a complaint number by SMS.
If you are a pensioner
From the pensioner menu you can retrieve your Social Security Number, check your file status, view your monthly pension statement, check the validity and expiry of your life certificate, and raise a complaint.
Suggestions, branches and deceased cases
The suggestions option lets you send a suggestion to the Fund. The location pin icon at the top right shows branch addresses and contacts. The deceased cases menu lets you download the death benefit requirements and view a file status by Social Security Number. You can also reset your password from the app.
Using the USSD service, dial *3434#
Pre register and register
To pre register, choose option 1 Register, then option 3 Preregister, then enter your phone number, your National Registration Card number and your date of birth, for example 1978-03-25, then wait for the approval SMS.
To register, choose option 1 Register, then option 1 Register an Account, enter your National Registration Card number twice, then a new PIN twice. You will receive a one time password. Return to the Register menu, choose option 2 Verify Your Account, then option 1 Verify OTP, and enter it.
Contributing members and pensioners
Contributing members can retrieve a Social Security Number using a National Registration Card number and PIN, view a contributions statement, and use the loans menu for microfinance or mortgage requirements, statements and initiation.
Pensioners can retrieve a Social Security Number, check a file, view a monthly pension statement and check a life certificate.
Complaints, branches and resetting your PIN
You can view and submit complaints, submit suggestions, view and rate services, and view branch locations. To reset your PIN choose option 6, enter your Social Security Number and set a new PIN. If it fails, call the Fund's call centre.
