PSPF PARTICIPATES IN 2025 LABOUR DAY CELEBRATIONS

On May 1, 2025, the Public Service Pensions Fund (PSPF) joined the global community in commemorating International Labour Day under the theme “Shaping Zambia’s Future of Work through Home-Grown Solutions for Inclusive Economic Growth.”

The event, which took place at the Freedom Statue in Lusaka, brought together participants from various sectors of the economy and was graced by the Republican Vice President, Her Honour W.K. Mutale Nalumango.

The day's activities began with a march past, starting from the Ministry of Education Headquarters to the Freedom Statue. The programme featured speeches from various stakeholders in the labour sector, including the International Labour Organisation (ILO), Zambia Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU), and Zambia Federation of Employers (ZFE), and concluded with a keynote address delivered by the Vice President.

International Labour Day, celebrated worldwide on May 1, honours the historic struggles and achievements of workers and the labour movement.
