PSPF CEO HAILS ZANAPA AS STRATEGIC PARTNER IN ENHANCING PENSION SERVICE DELIVERY

The Public Service Pensions Fund (PSPF) Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Francis Pindani Nyirenda, has hailed the Zambia National Pensioners Association (ZANAPA) as a strategic partner in the delivery of pension services across the country.

Speaking when he officially opened the ZANAPA 1st Ordinary National Council Meeting held at the Association Headquarters in Lusaka on April 29th, 2025, Mr. Nyirenda expressed his appreciation for the continued support ZANAPA has provided in ensuring that pensioners continue to receive their pensions with dignity, respect and efficiency.

Mr. Nyirenda emphasized that ZANAPA’s decentralized network of offices has been instrumental in reaching out to pensioners in various parts of Zambia, thereby making pension services more accessible to retirees nationwide in a timely and dignified manner.

The PSPF CEO also took time to update the meeting on various developments happening within PSPF, including the digitization of processes, which has seen the Fund integrate its systems with those of its partners.

And ZANAPA National Chairperson, Captain John Kashiwa (RTD), revealed that the Association is in the process of developing its first-ever Strategic Plan aimed at improving the services it provides to its members and enhancing its overall impact.

Captain Kashiwa commended the PSPF management for their open-door policy and constant engagement with ZANAPA, which he said is key to the success of both Institutions.

The 1st Ordinary National Council Meeting of ZANAPA brought together the leadership of the Association from all the ten provinces of Zambia. This gathering represents a momentous occasion in ZANAPA’s ongoing efforts to unify and empower its membership, ensuring that the voices of pensioners across the country are heard and represented.
